Much of my work lately has come to include the human figure in both the studio and outdoor settings. I am looking to create images which allow the viewer room for interpretation, to find a story within the photograph and within themselves. The techniques and processes employed, blending pinhole cameras, infrared film or light painting with the subtle softness possible with 19th century printing methods, lend themselves toward the use of the imagination.
I am always looking for models with a sense of creativity and exploration. As an amateur photographer, most of my limited budget goes toward film, paper and chemicals. While I'm willing to make allowances for some travel expenses and any costs incurred during the photo session, a "Time for Prints" (TFP) arrangement is usually made in lieu of any monetary exchange for modeling services. Depending on the length of time and complexity of the session, the model will receive a contact sheet of all film exposed, several gelatin silver prints up to 8x10, and at least one print made using an alternative process. If you live in, or will be traveling to, the Baltimore/Washington area, and have an interest in working with me in the creation of these images, I hope you will take a moment and fill out the following form.
